Match Recruitment Services Limited (company number 2381129) ("Match Recruitment") is committed to protecting the privacy of our candidates, clients and users of our website. We want to provide a safe and secure user experience. We will ensure that the information you submit to us via our website or through our office is only used for the purposes set out in this policy.

The Information We Collect and How We Use It

If you send your CV or personal details to Match Recruitment (or we collect the CV from a site where you have placed them on public display) we will use that information only for the purposes of evaluating the CV against job vacancy requirements.  We will store the CV in a temporary folder and keep a hard copy of the CV for approximately 3 months, unless you advise us that you don’t wish us to retain the CV.  This will be for the purposes of short-listing your CV to any forthcoming jobs.  This helps us provide recruitment services to you and to answer any enquiry you may have.

Registration, Sharing and Disclosure

Once we are able to short-list your CV for a job we will then contact you by phone, e-mail or text alerting you to this and inviting you to register via a face to face or telephone interview.   At this stage we will request other relevant information and personal data from you including sensitive personal information such as details of unspent criminal convictions or ethnic origin.   This information is held, used and disclosed by us in accordance with the purposes of providing consultancy and advisory services and for personnel/employee administration in accordance with the Data Protection Act.  We will brief you on the positions for which you have applied and/or the hirers or other trusted third parties (such as the Criminal Records Bureau requiring personal data) before sharing or disclosing your details, in accordance with the Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2004 and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s best practice.

The exception to this will be if a regulatory or law enforcement agency require us to disclose your information and we are required to do so by law.

We may also seek your consent to collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for any other purpose not listed above.

Third parties who perform functions on our behalf and who also provide services to us, such as professional advisors, IT consultants carrying out testing and development work on our business technology systems, must also comply with our Privacy Policy.

Access and Control

You have the right at any time to ask us for a copy of the information supplied by you that we hold. We may ask you to verify your identity and for more information about your request. We also have the right to charge an administrative fee for this service. Where we are legally permitted to do so, we may refuse your request and will give you reasons for doing so.

However, if this involves a request for deletion of your file, please be aware that we may not be able to do that if this contravenes legal requirements such as the requirement to hold ID for work-seekers, or payroll information that the Inland Revenue require us to retain for 6 years.
