Coronavirus - Recruitment Update

We are now seeing the impact of the coronavirus on recruitment.  Priorities for hiring companies are considerable, from grappling with the obvious challenges of keeping their businesses running; re-scheduling events, handling a fall in demand for goods and services or a shortage of supplies through to various commercial liabilities. Fulfilling government guidelines for organising home working for staff, or rotation working to allow a safe space between employees in the office is also taking time to organise. This is before any impact is fully felt on income and cashflow.   Similarly, the priority for most people will be to keep their families safe, work re-organised and bills paid.  

Under these exceptional circumstances recruiting new staff is less of a priority and so we have checked with our clients which roles they are continuing to recruit for and posted new dates for active job vacancies of 18 March. As an extra precaution, all candidates will be interviewed (at least at first stage) via phone or a video call, initially from Match Recruitment and then the hiring organisation.
