Salary: Up to £30,000 ae + commission OTE £35,000

The position

Exciting opportunity to sell exhibition space and sponsorship packages relating to a large annual trade show.  The position involves building relationships with existing clients, re-booking them and also undertaking research and developing new business through a variety of methods - phone, e-mail, networking and face to face meetings.

  Responsibilities

  • Execute the sales strategy to achieve individual targets along with the team target. This will involve selling exhibition space and sponsorship packages to existing and new customers.
  • Achieve KPIs; revenue generation, maintaining call rates, consistent call management, accurate and timely administration.
  • Planning and Research; identify new prospects and sectors, build prospect lists and plan activity.
  • Follow up and close incoming sales leads; call new potential exhibitors; rebook previous exhibitors; attend other exhibitions to network with prospects; arrange and attend meetings to identify client requirements and maintain relationships.
  • Whilst the position is predominantly office based you will attend trade shows as well as visiting clients around the UK, so this role will suit a person who enjoys working in the field as well as the office.

  You

Ideally you will have some experience in B2B media or event sales or a closely aligned sector. You should have a charismatic personality and excellent interpersonal skills.  Your commercial focus and quick response to client requirements and preferences in marketing and sales activity helps you to build good client relationships whilst achieving your goals. You will need to be well-presented, positive and confident with a well-organised approach and you should be ambitious and keen to do well.
