Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

12 month FTC commencing April 2020

Excellent opportunity to join a leading local employer to cover maternity leave in their marketing/business development team. The position is focused on marketing and organisation of the firm’s events to develop business.

Main duties:

Events:

  • Creating e-communication campaigns. Monitor and report effectiveness; develop event plans
  • Advising on key deadlines and proactively managing these deadlines
  • Creating and coordinating invitations for events / seminars (both internal and external)
  • Tracking of attendees and issuing confirmation emails for events / seminars
  • Managing the production of seminar packs, badges and delegate lists
  • Producing PowerPoint slides for events
  • Running and attending the entire events programme, both internal and external
  • Assisting with post event follow up actions and feedback
  • Liaising with the trainees to provide event support on the day.
  • Processing payments from suppliers for events, updating the marketing budget and arranging payment of invoices, via finance.

Website/Online:

  • Working on the website to ensure all event information is correct and up to date
  • Post approved content on the firm’s Twitter and LinkedIn accounts from events.

Business Development support:

  • Provide day to day support to the business development team
  • Provide assistance with directory submissions
  • Become a confident user so that you can pull mailing lists for events and newsletters
  • Work with the IT department to run reports and quality control checks
  • Support pitches by updating case studies and other marketing collateral

 

The position is likely to suit a graduate calibre candidate with some B2B event and marketing experience in particular relating to business events, conferences or training programmes.  You should be well-presented with excellent communication and organisational skills.  Flexibility is required when attending events but otherwise you will be required to work normal office hours. This will be a good opportunity to broaden or utilise your experience with a first-class employer.
