Compliance Manager - Construction

Salary: c £30,000 - £40,000 ae

Job Purpose:

Due to expansion of the company’s portfolio of construction projects, we are now seeking a full time Operations/Compliance Officer to ensure that all aspects of the company’s operations are compliant with the relevant codes, standards and contractual protocols required.   Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be working across all areas of the business, both internal and external including testing houses, suppliers, auditors and consultants.  You will be the “go to” person for all aspects of compliance within the business and will be instrumental in developing new processes to ensure the efficiency of operations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Work with Directors and managers to ensure that ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditations are maintained, including internal and external audits
  • Create and modify procedures and risk assessments to maintain company Health & Safety compliance
  • Work with technical teams and suppliers to ensure CE and UKCA marking of product lines, including labelling and creation of SDS and DOPs
  • Maintain and develop responsible resourcing BES6001 accreditation
  • Update and coordinate test samples for third party accreditation including BBA, KIWA and testing houses.
  • Ensure compliance to FORS compliance and audits
  • Maintain construction line gold accreditation
  • Audit operational systems and ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Ensure that data and systems are well organised and comply with GDPR requirements
  • Contribute to training and education of staff in relation to Health & Safety and Compliance
  • Report to Director on any non-compliance
  • IT support liaison
  • Other related ad-hoc risk and compliance work as directed

About you:

You will have 3 years plus experience of audit and compliance within construction or manufacturing to include ISO experience and knowledge of changes relating to CE / UKCA marking following Brexit. You should also have a good understanding of risk/ health and safety, ideally supported by a NEBOSH qualification.  You should have a thorough, well-organised and analytical approach to your work and should be capable of working alone but participating and communicating effectively within the wider team.
