Senior Marketing Executive

Job Purpose:

We seek an experienced Marketing Executive to report to the Group Marketing Manager.  You will be responsible for executing marketing plans and implementing marketing activity for one or more product categories, working with other departments to “own” and deliver product launches and communications for the UK market.  This will extend to organising and attending trade shows as well as some press and PR activity.  Your involvement with both internal teams such as product and sales teams as well as external agencies, journalists and lobby groups will be wide ranging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching market intelligence and trends, industry reports and competitor behaviour
  • Updating and creating marketing collateral including catalogues, brochures, videos and POS
  • Provide content for and deliver e-marketing communications
  • Provide the digital marketing executive with web and social content; brief on specific SEO work relating to your product categories
  • Provide marketing support to external sales teams
  • Support product team with product launches and communications
  • Support subsidiaries to deliver regional marketing activity
  • Organise and attend trade show/s both in the UK and overseas; manage and record leads on the database from show activity
  • Visit customers to create testimonials and case studies for publication in trade press and digital communications
  • Manage press cuttings and distribute PR coverage and articles of interest to internal stakeholders

Person specification:

We are looking for a person with 5 years’ plus, marketing communications experience.  You are likely to be well-qualified with a marketing degree or CIM qualifications. The successful candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to plan and multi-task efficiently.  Strong writing and proof-reading skills will be integral to the role.  You should also be creative, willing to take ownership of producing high quality work and should have high attention to detail.  Delivering results will require passion and motivation with the ability to work well with others and a willingness to work extra hours when organising and attending trade shows.

  • The position is with a highly successful international business with an expanding global market. Currently working from home, a hybrid work pattern is envisaged in future.
  • A very competitive salary, plus a bonus potential of 10% of salary
